Course content
In this course you’ll learn the principles of espresso brewing and key barista skills. Designed for students to quickly familiarise themselves and build practical experience with professional espresso machinery, we’ll focus on recipes, consistent dosing, tamping, grind adjustment and how to organise your bar.
Working on milk steaming, pouring techniques and drinks production, you’ll learn how to produce attractive and creamy-textured cappuccinos. The course also covers customer service skills, essential water chemistry and equipment cleaning.
Online and In-Person Course
The course is taught in two parts: a mandatory Online Course and an In-Person Course.
Upon making your booking, you’ll receive a login to access the mandatory online course on our Learning Platform. Focused on theory, the online course is taught through video presentations and includes introductions to the practical elements of the course.
The in-person course takes place over a half-day in our Training Centre, covering the hands-on and interactive elements of the course. Please note that you must complete the online course before attending your in-person course at our Training Centre.
